Better known by many people as lucerne or clover, this plant has steadily accompanied mankind for thousands of years. Alfalfa is the American name for lucerne. Alfalfa contains a variety of vitamins, minerals and trace elements that are often insufficiently available in our modern refined and processed foods. Alfalfa is a natural product that is minimally processed, and has a good degree of bioavailability.
For production of the different alfalfa products, the young alfalfa leaves are harvested at the peak of their nutritional and energy content and immediately dried in a low-temperature process at 38 °C (max.). Afterwards, the alfalfa is further processed to powder and tablets.
Alfalfa grows at a green plant and has a deep root system to absorb the nutrients contained in the soil. As a result, the plant is also able to tap into the low groundwater level when there is not enough rain and thus survive periods of drought.
Portioned and packed, the organic alfalfa is then available at specialty stores or directly from our Web shop. From the seeds to the packaging of the product, certification is meticulous according to EU-Eco-regulations (ABCERT).
Organic alfalfa powder dissolves immediately in water or juice, and can be enjoyed before or between meals. A teaspoon of powder stirred into apple juice, almond, soy or rice milk, provides an immediate energy burst and tastes delicious.
